Xtra email will no longer be free from May 16, 2024
From May 16, Spark customers who used to get Xtra email for free will be charged $5.95 including GST a month. Non-Xtra customers will be charged $9.95 a month.
Spark has made this change due to the ongoing g costs of hosting email. If you are considering changing your email, then Outlook or Gmail are popular options.
When changing your email address we suggest you do this gradually. Let your friends and any business you deal with know before cancelling the XTRA email address. Make sure any password reset or recovery emails you may have set up in the past are not pointing to your XTRA email address as once you cancel this with Spark you may not be able to get it back. Reset any of your passwords linked to your XTRA account.

UPDATE 1:30pm: We are still working with absolute urgency to get systems back up and running. We appreciate your patience during this time and will endeavour to keep you updated as more information comes to light.
UPDATE 11am: We are continuing to restore service to our back-end systems. If customers have a medical dependency on their service and require urgent support, they can call us on 123 and press ‘9,’ otherwise we’re asking customers to try calling back later. Once again we apologise for any inconvenience.
We are currently aware of an issue impacting our back-end systems. This means customers may be unable to call Spark, access our website, app, voicemail services or their Xtramail. Because our systems are currently down, we may also need to delay the opening of some of our stores as we are unable to process transactions or access our systems to support customers with any enquiries. Please note customers' broadband, landline and mobile services are unaffected. We are working with urgency to get our back-end systems up and running and will update customers here as we know more. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
